Adding Additional Mailboxes to Outlook (2003/2007)

You may require access to someone else’s mailbox.

If this is the case, a mailbox can be shared out.

The first step would be to contact the Administrator to give you the required mailbox rights.

Once this is done, the administrator can add the mailbox to your Outlook account..or you can follow the instructions below:

Microsoft Office 2007

1) Tools > Account Settings … (The “E-mail Accounts Wizard” pop-up window appears).

2) Select ‘Microsoft Exchange’ and press ‘Change…’

3) On the ‘Microsoft Exchange Server Settings’ tab, select ‘More Settings …’

4) Select the ‘Advanced’ tab.

5) In the section ‘Mailboxes’, select ‘Add’ (The “Add mailbox” pop-up window appears). Fill in (part of) the name of the user who’s mailbox you want to open. (If more than one name exist, a ‘Check Name’ window appears from which you can choose the correct name).

6) Once the correct name is found, the name is listed in the list ‘Open these additional mailboxes’.

7) Click ‘OK’,’Next’ and ‘Finish’ to close all windows.


Microsoft Office 2003

1) From the Tools > E-mail Accounts… (The E-mail Accounts wizard opens.)

2) Select View or change existing e-mail accounts and click ‘Next’.

3) Select Microsoft Exchange Server and click ‘Change’

4) Click ‘More Settings…’ (The Microsoft Exchange Server dialog box appears).

5) Select the Advanced tab.

6) In the section ‘Mailboxes’, select ‘Add’ (The “Add mailbox” pop-up window appears).

Fill in (part of) the name of the user who’s mailbox you want to open.

(If more then one name exist, a ‘Check Name’ window appears from which you can choose the correct name)

7) Click ‘OK’, ‘OK’, ‘Next’ and ‘Finish’ to close all windows.

Displaying the from field in Microsoft Outlook 2007

1) Open a new email.

2) In the menu you will see an Options menu.

3) Once in the options menu select “Show From” and this will enable the “From” field in Outlook.
